BTJGBY, 15th December. It is officially announced that the King has approved the appointment of Mr. James M'JSTeill, as Governor-Gen-' eral of the Irish Free State in succession to Mr. Timothy Healy, wlioso term of. office will shortly - expire. Mr. M'Neill was a member of the committee which drafted the Constitution of the Irish Free State in 1923, and subsequently became High Commissioner of the Free State in London, which position he has held until now.
