CYCLISTS' TOURING CLUB.

! The first general meeting of the New Zealand District Association of the Cyclists' Touring Club was held in the V.M.C.A. on Wednesday. Officers were appointed as follow:—President, Hjori. F. J. Rolleston, M.P., Minister of Justice; vice-presidents, Hon. T. M. Wilford, M.P., Dr. C. Preudergast Knight, Messre. J. H. Owen, E. G. Pilcher, Charles Hainea, W. L. Meek, and R. W. Shallerass; chairman, Mr. H. W. Stowers; hon. secretary, Mr. A. E. Milne; hon. treasurer and consulting solicitor, Mr. R. Hardie Boys; hon. auditor, Mr. R. W. Shallcraßs; committee, Mrs. Stothard and Messrs. Butler, Wilson, Symes, Singleton, and Day, along with the chairman, secretary, and treasurer.

Excellent progress has been made by the club since its inception, and a resume of the work accomplished was given by the secretary. Tours for the holiday season were arranged, and several parties will bo a-wheel during Christmas in both North and South Islands. It is worthy of note that the president, Hon. F. J. Rolleston, Minister of Justice, and all the vice-presi-dents are ex-members of the old. New Zealand Cyclists' Touring Club, and still take a keen interest^ the pastime.
