CHBISTCHUBCH, This Day. When Malleck Joseph Dohney, singl* man of 50, obtained goods and clothing to the value of £3-. 10a from the citizens relief depot he did not disclose the fact that he had a large amount in the savings bank. To-day,- Dohney, pleaded guilty to being a rogue-and a vagabond in that he imposed on! the relief depot by false representation." The chief detective said.that the accused, when signing a form at the citizens ' unemployment - relief •'; depot, had said that he had-no money -and no property. Subsequently the accused admitted that he had £354 in the savings bank. He possessed that amount when, he received about £2 worth of goods and 10a worth of clothing from theMepot. Counsel said that ; the . accused thought that as he was out of employment he was entitled to relief.

The Magistrate, Mr. E. D. Mosley, remarked to counsel, "You know how. the court looks at robbery of this kind. It is the meanest. thing that can b« done. ■ • - . . - .:
