KAIWARRA PARK

NO. MISTAKE ABOUT IJ.

The Mayor, referring to suggestions made that the formation of the playing area at Kaiwarra Park was being tackled, at the wrong level, with the result that a small area only, could be obtained, told a "Post" reporter to-day that that was not the case'at all. It was a fact that at the level at which work was now in hand the.level space would be only 75 yards square,- but the money available was limited to £3000 only. That would give the smaller level area, but would be quite insufficient for the levelling of a f ultsized football field. "When more money was available it would be possible by. additional filling to form the full-sized groundj and even two grounds were not out of tha question, but they were when only ,£3OOO was available.
