MOTORISTS' FEES

HUTT ROAD SCHEME

A reminder is given of the meeting to bo held in tho Concert Chamber, Town Hall, at 8 o'clock this evening, in connection with tho proposals of the City and Suburban Highways Board for the paving of further lengths of roads under that authority. The meoting is to be restricted to include only those who are in favour of tho scheme. The promoters of this movement say that those who are willing to support the scheme form a substantial majority of tho payers of dues, and they purpose through this meeting making themselves heard, as they are entitled to, just as tho Automobile Club has done for those opposed to tho scheme. The Bill now before the House will be considered by the Xiocal Bills Committee to-morrow morning, and it is expected that evidence will bo given by representatives of both sides.
