Following a quarrel, which lasted for several days, an Italian, Carmelo Garaehi, a machinist, was fatally shot while working a circular saw in a wood turner's sho~p at St. Peter's. Fellowemployees rushed the man to hospital, while others held a man who had a smoking revolver in his hand till the police arrived. Thi3 man, Salvator Scalisi, was arrested and charged with murder.
