LORD HOWE ISLAND
(United Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 20th September, noon.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Governor (Sir Dudley dv Chair) has departed on the warship Melbourne to visit Lord 'Howe Island.
Lord Howe Island, 436 miles northeast of Sydney, with an area of 3220 acres and a population of 114, is a dependency of New South Wales.
