(United Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY,. 19th Sept. Mr. Willis, Vice-President of the Legislative Council, has issued two writs, each claiming £10,000 damages, against Mr. Minahan and the "Daily Guardian" newspaper, for alleged defamation and alleged libel respectively, in connection with the-bribery charges recently made.

Mr. P. J. Minahan, tho Independent Labour candidate, who is opposing Mr. Lang at Auburn; in an address a few days ago, made grave charges of corruption against certain unnamed members of the Parliamentary Labour Party, and demanded an inquiry.
