PUBLIC SERVICE CLUB.
Tho winner of the quarterly aggregato cup for the second quarter was Mr. L. R. Poutawora, with a sun score of 548. Tho winner In the ladles' section was Miss W. E. Ellison with a gun score of 589. The winner of tho quarterly aggregato handicap trophies wore Miss W. E. Ellison (ladios) and Mr. W. A. Nicholson (men). The leading aggregate gun scores ot members who have completed tho third shoot of the third quarter aro:—Mon: Whito, 206; Gibson, Croxton, Low, JO4; Poutawerk, 203; Stuajt, 202; Wobb and Wost. 201. Ladies: Miss M'Kenzlo, 203; Mrs. Potts, 195; Miss Shcathor, 183; Miss Moir, 101.
Club Championship.—The leading shootlsts who have completed the eighteenth shoot of tho series are:—Messrs. H. V. Croxton 1232, L. n. Poutawera 1222, J. C. Low 1217, nnd B. L. White 1214. Mrs. R. D. Potts, 1205, Is loading for the ladles' championship, and Miss M'Kenzle (1184) Is runnor-up.
"Posslblo" Honours. —Since tha publication of tho last P.S. notes the following members have been successful In competition or practice shoots: —Messrs. Poutawora (2), White (2), Croxton, and Stuart.
Ladles' Championship Cup.—Tho committee and members greatly appreciate Mr. W. T. Nelll'B donation, which Is taking the form of a ladles' championship aggregate challenge cup, and which will bo known as tho Nelll Championship Cup." The cup Is to be won outright if won threo times in succession, or five times at Intervals.
Inter-Departmental Toaras' Competition.— Tho committee decided that departmental teams will meet and compete for the Public Service Association (Wellington section) Shield on the overlings of tho 13th and 14th October next. The Post and Telegraph Department is tho present holder. Nino teams entered on tho last occasion, and It Is trusted that departments of State will again display the samo enthusiasm.
"A" Grade Championship.—Tho finalists for tho championship will meet on the railway raiiKO on the 22nd September. They are Uutt versus Public Service. Many members aro looking forward very keenly to this match, and a firstrate contest is anticipated.
Friendly Match.—lt Ik understood that a friendly match bas been arranged with the South Club for the 20th, as a token of the appreciation and esteem in which tho South Club is hold.
