BRIGHT OUTLOOK FOR WOOL
(By Telegraph.)
(Special to "The Evening Post."}
IV ru DUNEDIN, This Day. ■ -l-ne. Otago sheepfarmers • are full of hope as to . the coming wool season .. So. far the prospects of the ■ clip are quite promising as-regards condition and quantity, and recent operations m the London market lead to the expectation that when the New Zealand auctions .open at Wellington in November the prices will be in favour of the sellers at.anj'rate for fine'wool. Present values for half bred stand about Id per lb better than at this time last year. A reasonable forecast by an expert,as to the prices at the opening of the New Zealand sales is that the finer wools will realise about last season s prices, if not a little higher, and that it would be hazardous to rely on any improvement in cressbred. 1 There is likely to be a full bench of buyers, since a number of new' men are coming out, and most of the old bidders will be present.
