PALMERSTON N., This Day. The Palmerston North Automobile Association reports roads generally good for motoring at present.

Wellington — Shannon — Palmerston North: To Paraparaumu in 5 good order; on to Waikanae much loose" shingle; on to Shannon, very good, but between there and Palmerston North, rough in places. Palmerstou North—Wanganui: Good. Taihape to Ohakune: Impassable at present.

Raetihi—Waimarino: Not advisable to travel; mud and pot holes. Wanganui—Ohakune: Good to Glenns' Junction, but soft mud further on and practically impassable. Wanganui—New Plymouth: Good New Plymouth—Te Kuiti: Good. Te Kuiti—Hamilton: Fair except few miles around Mahoenui which is rough Wellington—Masterton— Napier: Good. .Napier—Wairoa—Gisborne: Service cars going through. Napier—Taupo: Good
