_ ,_ LONDON, 16th September. The "Daily News" says that there is a touch of pathos about the of Dominion players in the Northern Onion. Leeds played O'Rourke and Moores before they had been in England a week, resulting in their becoming the laughing-stock of the league. Wigan tried New Zealanders in false position^ apparently expecting miracles. The Dominion players wore merely human, and had yet to prove their worth, either in general methods or in revealing genius inspirinc others. *
