A BOGUS BOMB

(Sydney Sun Cable.)

LONDON, 16th September. The "Daily Mail" says the Home Offico and Scotland Yard are investigating the mystery of a bomb with a burned fuse, discovered in an underground railway between Charing Cross and the Temple. It adds that many anonymous letters threatening damago since the executions of Sacco and Vanzotti have not been given any great credence, but the Home Office has decided to prevent the possible arrival in London of Vanzetti's ashes, entrusted to his sister.

According to a later message, it transpires that the supposed bomb was only a harmless tin, containing an ounce of photographic magnesium.
