SCHOOL BASKETBALL.

The final games under the auspices of the Wellington Primary Schools' -Basketball Association were played at the Kil- -- rfi. le Scn°ol yesterday afternoon between Kelburn and Seatoun Schools (senior grade and Kelburn and Newtown (junior grade). The games were keenly contested, the teams giving evidence of careful coaching, and the standard of play wa« exceptionally high. In the senior grade, Seatoun secured the championship, the score being: Seatoun 18, Kelburn; 16. In the junior grade, Newtown was successful by 16 points to 8. The games were" ably controlled by Miss O. M. Sheppard and Miss J. Swap respectively, the high standard of control being reflected in the play. The Kilbirnie School girls efficiently; dispensed afternoon tea. •. ' : .
