"THE GHOST TRAIN."
There. are exceptions even to that excellent ruling that there is nothing new anywhere to be found, for Instance, the theme and the remarkably clever presentation of the mystery play, "The Ghost Train," now being staged at the Grand Opera House. In a few words, the story concerns a party of travellers stranded overnight at an out-of-the-way station, allegedly haunted as well as out of the w*y. The ghost train story is told by the stationmaster, and the party is merely interested, until
"spooky" complications give the story a deilnltely uncomfortahle standing. Enters a girl who succeeds through her simulated terror In working the whole party Into a fine state of nerves and then proceeds to profit greatly by the ghost train story. The average "crook" story has Httlo to recommend it, but tho manner in which this play is worked out is certainly very clever. Tho cast Is a strong one, including Betty Ross Clark, Hugh E. Wright, Basil Radford, Laura Smlthson, and Mayne Lytton.
