WELLINGTON CITY OBSERVATORY.
The large telescope at Kelburn will be open to the public from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. to-morrow, weather permitting. The large planet Saturn, with its fine rings, will be visible in the early part of the evening, and Jupiter and its interesting system of moons at a later hour, while many fine double stars and star clusters are to be seen through the telescope. A good series of lantern slides will be shown and explained by those in charge. In case Saturday night should be cloudy, citizens are reminded that on the following Tuesday, 20th September,'the five-inch telescope at Kelburn. will be open to the public from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m., the same planets being visible.
