MAGISTRATE'S COURT
. Police cases in the Magistrate's Court to-day were dealt with by Mr. J. H. Salmon, B.M. On a charge of having unlawfully secreted tobacco for the purpose of its being found by a prisoner, Michael Joseph Shannon, a hotel porter, was remanded to appear at Dundein. For casting offensive matter, Stanley Hill, a draughtsman, aged 40, was fined £2, the amount of his bail. He was i fined 10s for his first offence, of drunkeness. Two first offenders for drunkenness were each fined 10s, the amount of their bail, and two others, who had spent the night in the cells, were convicted and discharged.
