"ST. PAUL" TO-NIGHT.

An exceptionally strong cast of principals has been engaged, for the Royal Wellington Choral Union's production of Mendelssohn's "St. Paul," at the Town Hall to-night. The soprano part will be taken by Miss Naomi Whalley, of Palmerston North, whom Mr. Arthur Jordane, th famous English tenor, regarded as the finest soprano he had heard in either New Zealand or Australia. Miss Nora Greene, a recent arrival from London, has been entrusted with the contralto role, Mr. Edwin Dennis that of the tenor, and Mr. William Watters, of Palmerston North, will sustain the baritone part. Mr. Temple White is said to have his chorus and orchestra well trained, so a really fine performance is anticipated. The doors will open at 7.15, and the oratorio will conclude about 10.10.
