FEELING IN EGYPT
ATTITUDE OF PRESS
(Published in The Times.)
CAIEO, Ist June.
- The Egyptian Press .vigorously urges the rejectionof tho British demands, on the grounds that Britain has no right to intarfere, but the' indications are tbati'thevChamber of Deputies will favour & compromise. British and for' eigh circles insist on the unconditional acceptance of the Note as the only possible policy. It is pointed out that the Egyptian Government' has had an amplo opportunity of offering an alternative solution, but so far merely directed its tactics to gaining time, not intending sincerely to face the situation. ■■"'.■ '
