A letter., bearing ilie rare autograph oE Button Gwinnett,-together with the signatures of five other signatories of the Declaration of Independence, -was sold by auction in .New York for. £10,200 after excited bidding. The purchaser,-Dr. A. S. W. Eosenbachj has bought-five other Gwinnett signatures since 1925 at prices ranging from £2900 to £5700. The letter just sold, au order issued on 12th July, 1776, was recently- in an old barn a couple of days before the barn was accidentally burnt.
