On Friday, at 2.45 p.m., at Athletic JPark, the All-Caiiada football team will be seen in-action; ;It has been the de-; sire, of the New Zealand Football Association for many years to/receive a visit of a representative team from a country in which the Association game is well established. This hope is now realised. Reports which . have come to hand state _ that, '.-the. .team is an excellent one; it possesses a. delightful understanding, and by; its'cleve^ combination in both head work arid foot work sets a standard that has probably never been reached in the Dominion before. ' - . v On Thursday evening, at 5.15 o'clock, a ftivic reception has been arranged by the Mayor, and. at this reception the Govern- I ment, the Wellington- Football Association, the Rugby Union,..and the Cricket Association will be represented. Special arrangements have been made for the entertainment of Ithe visitors.while they are in the Empire -City... On. Thursday evening they will be the guests of Messrs. Fuller's, Ltd.,. at His Majesty's Theatre; on Friday., evening a dinner will be held at the Grand Hotel; on Saturday morning the Minister "in Charge'of the.Government Publicity Office has invited the team to visit the Government Film: House, when a number of New -Zealand views will be ejehibite^d; on Saturday evening, the team will attend at the Adelphi Cabaret; and on Sunday afternoon' will be shown, the sights of ,the!<;ity, and will make a tour of all the Bays and suburbs. On Monday morning they will inspect the factory of Messrs. Bryant, May, Bell, Ltd.- The team leaves Wellington for Picton by the Tamahine' on Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. ',-.' '.-■•■'.•
