A UNITED FRONT
ATTEMPTS TO HEAL BREACH
SYDNEY, 31st May. Representatives of the two rival factions of tho Labour Party conferred at length to-day with a view to healing the breach in the Labour ranks and averting the imminent dissolution of Parliament. •
While no finality was reached, it is stated that there is a likelihood of a set .-.moat of the dispute between the two factions being reached, and the Labour Party presenting a united f::ont of the anti-Labour forces at the next election.
The new Cabinet met and further prorogued Parliament until 21st June.
