EMPRESS' THEATRE.
The film adaptation of Sir Rider Haggard's well-known ■ story, "She," is being shown at the Empress Theatre. Betty Blythe is superb as Ayeaha, the immortal ; queen who waits down two thousand. years, of ageless beauty, for the descendant of her beloved Kallikrates, whom she killed in a fit of scorned jealousy. An Englishman is loved by Ustane, but the simple beauty of the girl is no match for the charm of She. The. settings' are on a stupendous scale. Carlyle Blackwell and Mary Odette are in t..j cast. Raymond M'Kee and Marjorie Meadows are co-Btarred in "Romance Road," the tale., of an. American soldier's love^ for- a rich girl, arid how" the- same rich' girl decides to win the boy for _ herself. An additional attraction is the playing of Kamo, described as the fastest exponent of the banjo-mandol-in in-the world. The programme is further enhanced by the playing of Miss Edwards-s; orchestra. •
