LONDON, 30th May. Official quarters emphasise that the sending of battleships to Egypt is an ordinary precautionary measure in view of the extremists*, activity in Btirring up an artificially tense situation and attempts to undermine the position of British officers under whom the Egyptian Army is guided with efficiency.
