From a bright pnwnug rush by the backs, Athletic scored another try, and the game ended with victory for Johnsonville' by a margin of 11 points. Playing at Wakefield Park, Selwyn defeated Training College Ijy 11 points to nil. Prom the kick-off Belwyn set up a vigorous attack, and it wag not long before W. Mitchell crossed the line for a try. There wan no conversion. Before the end of the spell Cndby put the finishing touches to a passing rush by scoring a good try, which V. Mitchell converted. In the second spell Training College made every endeavour to open up their scoring, but they were unable to penetrate the defence. Towards the end of the spell Selwyn swept into the attack again, and Leggatt scored a try, the game ending: Selwyn 41, -Training College 0. ■ . • ' - The match between University and Oriental at Kilbirnie ended in a draw, each side scoring 11 points. At one stage University had a deficit of 11 points, but from then on they were very aggressive. For Oriental, Knkerton, Reid, and Hill scored tries, one of which was converted by Simmonds. Grigg, Bailey, and Richardson obtained tries for University, and onn was converted by Riddell.
