Bounding the. last bend in the Taita Gorge at about midnight on Saturday, a Wellington-bound seven-seater sedan motor-car, driven by Mr. Miller, of General Mttors, Ltd.,-ran up the bank and turned over on if a left side. The mudguards and running boards were damaged, and the left-hand front wheel was torn off. Mr. Miller was not hurt. The City Council is looking to the Lyall Bay Progressive Association to assist in equipping the new play area near the LyaU Bay beach, which is nearing completion. With that object in view the association by advertisement in this issue invites applications from competent persons to organise a function.
