The.heavy scoring in the M.C.C.-New Zealand match at Lord's was a record for first-class cricket in England. In all 1502 runs wero scored for the loss of 28 wickets. This aggregate beats the previous tfest in first-class matches at Homo by 10 runs. In the Worcester-shire-Oxford University match in 1904 an aggregate of 1492 runs was compiled for tho loss of 33 wickets. There have been numerous higher aggregates in Australia, as well as three in Now Zealand.
