ELDERLY MAN'S DEATH

The body of Alexander Scrymgeour, an elderly man who had- been an inmate of : the Salvation, Army Home at Miramar for the past few days, was found in the water alongside the steps of the Miramar, wharf, at 12.15 o’clock this afternoon. His hcad and shoulders were under-the water,.-and. appearances pointed to his having slipped while walking across the -landing, at the foot of: the steps. Dr. Rawsori was immediately summoned, and artificial respiration was adopted, but without success. The body, was. removed to. the morgue, and an inquest will he held.
