Mr. Frederick Eobert Corson, manager of Wood Bros., flounnillers, and managing director of Distributors, Ltd., died at Christchurch. on Wednesday, states a Press Association telegram. The bird known as the caruneulated 3hag is declared by "Gazette" notice issued last night to bo absolutely protected as from Ist May.
By "Gazette" notice iS3ued last night, the plant known as elephant foot (Elephantopus scaber) is added to the list of noxious weeds.
