The suggestion that ski-ing might bo a possibility at Mount Holdsworth has called forth an objection in the "Wairarapa Ago" from Mr. F. C. Brockett. He considers any attempt to indulge in this exhilarating sport would be most dangerous because the area available on the mountain is too restricted. Another drawback was the long distanco the skis would have to be carried. They were 7iU in length and could not bo conveyed through the bush without trouble. Before any attempt was made to inaugurate ski-ing at Mount Holdsworth, Mr. Brockott considered an export on the matter should be conßulted.
