TO HELP TRADE OVERSEAS

Sir Phalip CunUffe-Lister (President of the Board of Trade) at a banquet of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, said that British'industry needed able men overseas to help trade there. The British Government had not the slightest intention of abrogating their services, but were considering the possibility of economising at Home. ■
Mr. Churchill's Budget provides for the abolition of the Overseas Department of the Board of Trade.
