LODGE MEETINGS.
I'ioiieer Lodge, No. 11, 1.0. G.T., held its weekly meetiug in Webb street on Monday, C. T. Sis. Devereux presiding. There was a good attendance oi members and visitors. During the evening Bio. Hampton, P.D.G.M., was welcomed. .The C.T., in attending birthday greetings, called on Sis. Richards and Bro. Petherick (Pioneer), Bro. Hirst (district), Sis. Hirst (Grand Lodge), and Bro. Price (Star), each of whom spoke of the many years Bro. Hamptou had been connected with the order, and trusted he would be spared for many years. Bro. Hampton, wlio is 77 years of age, responded. The election of olh'eers resulted: C.T., Sis. Devereux; V.T., Sis. King; chaplain, Sib. Hill; financial secretary, Sis. Richards; treasurer, Sis. Cullura; secretary, Bro. Petherick; marshall, Bro. Recknall (all re-elected); guard, Bro. Rpwe; reporter, Sis. Symington. Supper was handed round by the harmony committee. St. Thomas's Temple, No. 4, '.net in the club room in Gordon street, Bro. Munn C. Templar presiding, with S.iT.AV. Sis. G. Symington-in charge. Bio. Bedingfield and Sis. Ladkin were welcomed back after illness. Tw;o candidates were proposed and initiated. One member, formerly of Westward Ho Temple, Ngaio, was received on clearance. Bro. Hirst, D.C.T., spoke to tho 'children on their work. Sis. Hirst, D.S.J.W., was also present with visitors from Star and ■' Pioneer Adult Lodges. Cards for marking attendance and pay- J ment of fees were handed out to the children. After routine business, the meeting finished with harmony. v Star of Wellington, No. 12, 1.0. G.T. Lodge, held its weekly session on Thursday, in the Rechabite Chambers, Ghuznee street, Bro. Price presiding. One candidate was proposed for membership. Bro. Petherick, chaplain, gave an account of his visit to InvercargiU recently, and the meeting of several old Good Templars who | sent greetings. Sis. Williams was welcomed back after illness. It was decided to accept an invitation to visit Pioneer Lodge, next week. Supper and harmony concluded the evening.
