ST. LUKE'S
The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Luke's, Wadestown, was also held this week. The vicar (the Rev. J. E. AshleyJonca)^ presided. In his annual report, the vicar referred to the death of Mrs, Loinae, who had been a loyal and faithful churchwoman and worker most of her life, and also to the death of Mrs. Hand-Newton, the wife of his churchwarden. Reference was also made to the work of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Rowe (absent in England), Mr. Grainger, and Mrs. A. B. Cooke, Highland Park (just returned from abroad). The vicar congratulated the ladies who had raised £ltiO during the year for the proposed new Sunday schoolroom, tho church's expenses, and for missions. Tho following officers were elected:^— Vicar's churchwarden, Mr. W. G. HandNewton; people's churchwarden, Mr. F. J. Halse; vestry, Mcsdames J. L. Harvey, W. B. M'Kenzie, Miss O. Turton, and Messrs. 11. Harley-Browu, A. J. Holloway, W: J. Lee, M. M. Simpson, H. K. Simmons, F. T. Clerc, B. S. Withers;' hon treasurer. Mr. H. Hurley-Brown; hon. auditor, Mr. G. T. Withers.
