KEPT ALIVE 109 HOURS

(United Press Association.—Copyright.) NEW YORK, 11th March. Alfred Frick, of Evanston, Illinois, died on Thursday after being kept alive for 109 hours by artificial respiration. He showed a slight improvement on Wednesday, when tho paralysis diminished somewhat. He talked and joked with friends and his parents, but his system was unable to stand the strain. Leading physicians of tho United States watched the ease and manifested the greatest interest in it.
