(United Press Association.—Copyright.) PARIS, 20th January. According to.the "Echo de Paris," the military chiefs, in compliance with M. Pojncare's instructions, are preparing without delay a definite plan of defence works on the northern and north-eastern, frontiers, as a substitute for the withdrawal of'the Bhineland aimy. The depth of the defence zone will correspond with a modern battlefield. The Government will seek the necessary credits from Parliament as soon as the plaii is prepared. •
