The Canterbury, tennis championships were continued in fine weather. In the ladies' singles, second round, Miss Macfarlane, of Auckland, beat Miss Macdonald, 6-3, 6-0.
In the mixed doubles, N. Peach and Miss Macfarlane and- Dr. North and Miss Wake have advanced to the second round. In the second round, Norman Peach and Mrs. Beale beat Angas and Mrs. Bullock, 6-2, 6-2.'
