DE LUXE THEATRE.

Real interest is attached to the advent to-day of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's "The Big Parade," at the De Luxe Theatre where it will begin its tour of the Dominion with the matinee screening, accompanied by the orchestra, at 2.30 o'clock, bpecial afternoon performances with orchestral accompaniment will be held every day at the same hour. At the evening performances a special added attraction will be the dramatic scena, "The Dream of the Big Parade," which will be rendered by Thomas C. Wood, a baritone. Apart trom the wonderful success which "The Big Parade' has achieved in England, i ranee, America, and elsewhere, extra interest attaches to the great film from the tact that it has been the subject of more biased and unjustified propaganda than any other picture. In Australia "The Big Parade' was passed by the Federal and State Houses of Parliament of Victoria an honour never previously extended to a Ilm,« 01» picture. New Zealanders will see Ihe Big Parade" just as it reached the censor s hands, for this asserted that not one cut was made. John Gilbert, Renee Adoree, Karl Dane, and Tom O'Brien are accorded exceptionally warm praise for what are described as "magnificent characterisations which will live lone in the memories of all who see them." The OrS?- ?S c uxe > lmder the direction of Miss A. Bryers, will interpret the original gew York music score. Bos plans at The Bristol and at.Aitken's have been extensively availed of, and early applications for seats are advisable.
