OVERSEAS VISITORS
EECOBD SEASON EXPECTED.
There is every indication, from the bookings already made with the Tourists and Health Resorts Department, that the season will constitute a record, especially in overseas visitors, who mostly arrive after the New Year. The Manager of the Department (Mr. B. M. Wilson), while unable to j^ive any figures at present, expected that they would exceed those of last year, then a record.
"The heaviest" bookings," he said to a "Post" reporter to-day, "are for the thermal district, and Eotorua will be crowded for Christmas. Mount Cook and the grand motor tour from the Hermitage to Queenstown are equally well booked. The Te Anau-Mil-ford Walk is heavily booked. The track is now in splendid order. The Waikaremoana Hostel is fully booked up."
