(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBTJBTON, 23rd December/ An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Herbert Henry Baker, an engineer at the Fairfielcl Works, who : was killed as the result of a collision, while cycling,1 with a motor-car driven ' by Charles C. Judge, shortly after midnight last Thursday. The Coroner returned a verdict of deatfi resulted f,*om injury through' being accidentally knocked down by a car. Subsequently Judge appeared before J Justices of the Peace on a charge of; negligently driving a motor, thereby ! causing the death of Baker. The accused pleaded not guilty, reserved his de-: fence, and was committed for trial. Bail was allowed in a surety of £100.
