CHRISTMAS DISHES.

Bako 3 to 4 hours.

Excellent Plum Cake.—ljlb flour, lib currants, lib butter, lib raisins, lib sugar, Jib almonds, Jib mixed peel, 12 eggs,, and a wine glassful of brandy. Bake 3 to 4 hours.

Boil 8 hours.

Plain Plum Pudding.—Jib suut, Jib sugar, lib flour, Jib currants, Jib sultajuas, 2oz sliced mixed peel, 2 teaspoonfuls baking soda, half nutmeg grated, 1 egg; mix all dry ingredients thoroughly together, and mix tho treacle with a cupful of hot milk, and then pour into the.dry ingredients, mix, and boil in basin or cloth (leaving room for swelling); boil or steam for 24 hours. ■ "
