AUCKLAND DAIRY PRODUCTION
SIX PBK CENT INCREASE,
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. The dairy production in the Auckland province during the current season continues to maintain record fiures. The butter received into the store during the five months of the season ended Tuesday totalled 050,929 boxes, compared with 568,807 and 623,311 for tho corresponding periods of 1925-26 'and 1924-25 respectively. Up to this year the record in production was held by the 1924-25 season, but the record was lowered in the first four months of this season, when the amount of butter at the stores exceeded that of the corresponding period in 1924 by 2410 boxes. The cheese returns nlso sliow substantial increases in production, but tlie figures become more striking when the totals are reduced to a butterfat basis. The output this season reaches tho great total of 33,900,9831b, compared with the record season of two years age, when 31,791,1771b of butterfat were, produced. The increase in favour of the present season is 2,108,900 lb, or a shade over 6 per cent.
