HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE

(By Telegraph —Press Association.) MASTERTON, This Day. A six-roomed house in Lansdpwno, a residential suburb of Masterton, was destroyed by .fire at 6.30 this morning. ,The house was owned and occupied by Mr. H. J. Chesterman, who, with his family, was at home at the time of the outbreak. The fire had a very strong .' hold when the alarm was given, and though the brigade was successful in suppressing it promptly, the whole of . the interior was demolished. A con- , siderable amount of clothing and linen was salvaged, but most of the furnitare was destroyed. The house and its oanbeaht were insured.
