STREET REPAIRS

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—A few months ago the City Council commenced to repair ' Beveral Btreers and roads in Miramar. Ratepayers looked forward to respectable roads and footpaths, but the work, when not half completed, was left. The soil from the footpaths and gutters was heaped tip in the centre of the "roads," which are now in a worse condition than before. These heaps of soil are a danger to traffic, especially at night. Is this work to be completed this season or are the residents to put up with it, as it now is, for an indefinite period?—l am, etc., RESIDENT.
