Giving evidence at the Full Court of the Arbitration Court in the forty-four-hour case, Dr. William Henry Summons said that the most healthy population in the world was that of New Zealand Then followed the Australian States and then the rest of the world. He said that on death rate figures New Zealand starts at 8.3, then follow i Queensland 8.9, Westralia 9.1, South Australia 9.2, New South Wales 9 4 Australia 9.5, Victoria 10.1, Tasmania 9.9; South Africa, white, 9.7; Canada excluding Quebec, 9.8, Great Britain 12.6, Quebec 13.3 per thousand.
