FURTHER TRIALS
SELECTIONS FOR SOUTHERN TEAM,

AUCKLAND, 4th July
Two more trial matches have yet ■to be played before the final selection of the New Zealand League football team to tour Britain is made. On Wednesday Auckland will play a team representing the southern leagues, and on Saturday an A and B trial match will be played. In the lastmentioned match the thirteen _ players whose positions in the touring side are assured will not be included in either team. .The southern team for Wednesday's match is as follows: —Full-back, Ecko_ (Otago); three-quarters, Sanders (Canterbury), Desmond (Wellington), Hickey (Otago); five-eighths, Vorrath (Otago), Vivian (Canterbury); half, Wilson Hall (Canterbury); forwards, Menzies "(Waikato), Tallentire (West Coast), Carroll (Wellington), Devine (Timaru), Thomas (Otago), Mouatt (West Coast). In the selection of the southern team it has been arranged to give Gieson, o£ Waikato, another chance, and he will replace Tallentire as hooker in the second spell. The South Island forwards, Wright, Peterson, and. Henry, leave Auckland to-night. Mason Remains to play next Saturday..
