ATHLETIC V. MARIST.
Athletic did not appear to miss Porter and Svcnson in their match against Marist.. The first spell was nothing startling, Marist, if anything, dominating play even though they finished up three points behind. These points came from a good passing rush, from Svhich Sutton, on tho wing, scored. Taylor made a very good attempt to convert. During the second spell Athletic took command, and reallyoutclassed their opponents. From a forward scramble Tyree scored near the posts and Taylor succeeded with the kick. Athletic continued attacking, and they .were really unlucky not to add a much larger total. Towards the close of the game Sutton s^red his second try. This came about through Warwick, who was playing a Stirling game, sending the ball away from the scrum. All the backs participated in the passing, Sutton running round behind the posts. Taylor added the points. The game finished: Athletic 13, Marist 0. Mr. Hylton was referee.
