FATAL TIRE BURST

FARMER KILLED IN CAPSIZE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTERTON, 3rd July

A fatal accident occurred on tho Pirinoa road at 5.30 last night, resulting in the death of Mr. Arthur Cyrus Mason, farmer^ of Turanginui. The deceased was discovered pinned by his head under an overturned car on the roadside near Tananui. The body was removed to Martinborough. Tho late Mr.. Mason, who was fifty years of age, was a son of Mr. A. Mason, a well-known surveyor, of Wellington. An inspection of the car showed that a front tire had burst, and marks on the road indicated a severe skid off loose metal and a final overturn. Mr. Mason leaves a widow and a family of four, the youngest twelve years of age.
