Official quotations Danish.—l72s to 173s per cwt (Is 6y_d per lb). Irish.—Salted, 100s to 104s per cwt (Is 5d to Is 5V»d per lb) ; unsalted, 104s to 168s per cwt (is Ovid to Is Od per lb). Argentlne.-^-Unsalted, 154s to 100s per cwt (Is 4V>i to Is Bd per lb; other qualities, 146s to 1525" per cwt (Is 3<Ad to Is 4%d per lb). Australian.—Finest, 166s to 1703 per cwt (Is I 5%d to Is 6%d per lb); other qualities, 144s 'to 102s per cwt (Is 3%d to Is 5%d per lb). New Zealand.—Salted and Unsalted, 168s to 170s per cwt (la Od to Is 6%d per lb) ; other qualities, l6os to 104s- per cwt .(Is 5d to Is 5y 3 d per lb). CHEESE. Market continues dull. English, finest farmers, 96s to 100s per cwt (10% d to 10? id per lb). Canadian.—Coloured, 88s to 90s per cwt (9%d to 9%d per lb) ; white, 88s to 91s per cwt (9%d to 9y a d per lb). New Zealand.—Coloured, Bfis to 90s per Cwt (9%d to 9y 2 d per lb) ; white, 80s to 91s per cwt (9%d to 9>/ 2 d per lb). TALLOW. Spot market remains quiet. Only moderate business has been done. Official quotations are:— Mutton. —Fine, 45s Od per cwt;-fair to good, 43s 6d to 443 Od per cwt; dark to dull, 413 Cd to 42s Gd per cwt. Beef.—Sweet and/or mixed, 44s 6d to 45s 6d per cwt; fair to good, 42s 9d to ,44s 6d per i cwt; dark to dull, 40s 6d to 41s 6d per cwt. Mixed.—Fair to good, 42s 6d to 44s per cwt; dark to dull, 40s Gd to 41s Gd per cwt. Gut, etc. —37s to 41s 6d per cwt. CEREALS. Peas.—Market quiot owing to. high prices asked and decreasing demand. No. 1 Partridge New Zealand June-July shipments rei potted sold 91s. Resellers offering afloat parcels 92s to 935, tmyors holding back. Blues: Better demand. Dutch hand-picked havo advanced 20s per ton. Few parcels Of New Zealand and Tasmanlan which have been in store for somo months now cleared. Nominal value New Zealand blues, £15 ex store. I Beans. —English firm. Good quality winter making up to 48s, choice Bpring 595. Imported: No business to repott. Nominal value New Zealand, ex store, 465. Oats.—Quiet. Best English White offered 31s 6d, other qualities down to 27s 6d. Imported: Forward business easier. No. 2 Canadian Western, June-July shipments, offered 25s 6d, Plato 21s; nominal value New Zealand, 20s, July shipments. Cocksfoot. —Market inactive. Prices balance and old stocks Unchanged. APPLES. Market very quiet still. Condition Corinthic generally poor. Earlier varieties over-ripe, Jonathan, badly spotted, 5s to Gs; Delicious, 9s. Harder varieties trostcd. Port Hobart few Stunners sold in London 93 to 10s 6d, other sorts Ss to 10S. Liverpool prices: Stunners, 6s to 8s 6d pe.r case; Rokewood, 7s to 9s 3d per case; Dougherty, 8s to 9s per case; Statesman, 7s to 8s 9d per case; Jonathan, 7s 9d to 10s 9d per case. OTHER PRODUCTS. Hemp.—Manila easier during this week. "J" grade July-September shipments sold £39 10s. Sisal market quiet, but steady. No. 1 Tanganyika quoted £41 10s. New Zealand slow and nominally unchanged. Wool.—Bradford market unchanged and prices same as last quotations. Linseed. —The following cable has been received, dated the 3rd instant, from Calcutta, with referenco to the linseed ■ market: —"We quote £17 7s 6d for linseed per ton net c. and f., Sydney, immediate shipment. Market steady."
