In the Native Appellate Court yesterday, Judges C. E. MacCormick and J. W. Browne gave their reserved judgment in the case in which Annie M. Ashwell appealed against the decision given at Invereargill in 19925 ,j>regarding the appointment of successors to John Cross, deceased. The Court decided that-the previous orders would bo varied and the appellant admitted as a. beneficiary under the will. Hoani Tapiba Pitini applied for an ordeder under section 208 of the Native Land ' Act, 1909, declaring ',i Mock of land to bo European land. After sonic of the applicant's evidence had been heard, the case was adjourned to Wellington, so that tho Court might verify statements made regarding the property.
