SHIPMENT TO SYDNEY.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Mr. J. S. Barrett has sold the four-year-told- gelding Count Cavour, by Solferino— Bon Bord, to an Australian sportsman, and the horse will be shipped from Wellington to Sydney on Friday, arrangements having been made for F. D. Jones to care for hini. on the trip across. The price paid for Count Cavour has not been disclosed, but it can be taken as quite certain that a substantial sum was required. It is understood that he will go into the stable of C. T. Godby, which may mean he is to carry the colours of Mr. J": It. Corteen, who had a big and successfulteam at one stage, including Heroic. *
